Huawei P50 Pro

Huawei P50 Pro

We have the Huawei p50 pro in the gold and black finish and it brings a modern look with this curved glossy glass back which tapers into the metal frame probably the most interesting design element here is the camera bump which is divided into two circular modules at less than 200 grams the phone isn't too heavy and is all ip68 rated against water and dust. The screen of the p50 pro is a curved 6.6-inch OLED with a 2700 by 1228 resolution that comes out to 450 PPI and there's a fast 120hz refresh rate the high refresh rate means that swiping and scrolling here looks quite fluid and since there's a fast 300hz touch sampling rate the screen is quite responsive too overall this display looks really nice and the media experience is rounded out by a pair of stereo speakers with hist and sound. One of the main things to consider about the p50 pro is that it doesn't support google services the global version runs huawei's emui 12 interface one of the new features you'll find on emui 12 is a control panel which you access by swiping from the right corner it gives you music and bluetooth controls and connectivity settings to other devices and while you can't get google play here huawei's app store is still adequate you can sideload apps as well though without proper support those might not run correctly at the heart of the global version of the p50 pro is a snapdragon 888 4g chipset which should provide a level of performance similar to last year's flagships there is no support for 5g connectivity though if you're looking for that but there is support for 66 watt huawei supercharging and unlike recent trends you get the charger in the box here it should be pretty fast to top up the 4 360 milliamp hour battery you also get fast 50 watt wireless charging here too finally we have the p50 pro's cameras besides the 50 megapixel main cam the monochrome camera is back at 40 megapixels then there's a 13 megapixel ultra wide and a 64 megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5 times optical zoom this looks like a very versatile camera setup especially when you consider the telephoto cams capability for higher hybrid zoom levels and we can't wait to test it out so there you have it guys the p50 pro was a nice looking flagship that as you'd expect from huawei brings a powerful set of cameras it's tough to release a phone globally without google services though and it's also rare to see a flagship without 5g support let us know what you guys think about the p50 pro and i'll see you soon.
