 IPhone 12 Pro Max

The iphone 12 pro max is the biggest iphone apple has ever made and it's also the best the iphone 12 pro max is the kind of product apple only releases once in a while the kind that looks different is built on a fundamentally new technology and will ultimately form the basis of future iphones for years to come it has an attractive new design a straightforward and complete approach to 5g good cameras and even better performance the shiny outer rim looks fancy but it also a magnet for fingerprints essentially the design of the 12 pro max is just a larger version of the iphone 12 and 12 pro and despite the size it still fits well in the hand and it's easy to hit cd or screen lock button on the left and the volume keys on the right the notch on the iphone 12 pro remains pretty large but the true depth camera still comes in very handy for face id the iphone 12 pro max is also tougher this time around you will get a ceramic shield display up front that's rated four times the drop performance as well as a better ip68 water resistance rating that goes down to 6 meters instead of 4 meters with your 6.7 inch oled display the iphone 12 pro max's oled panel is smaller but brighter than the 6.9 inch galaxy note 20 ultra this device also happens to offer the most color accurate display we have ever tested the only thing missing from the iphone 12 pro max is a smooth 120 hertz refresh rate display the iphone 12 pro max offers the best cameras on any phone it comes with quad rear camera setup you will get 12 megapixel wide ultra wide and a telephoto lens and also there is a time of flight 3d scanner it has a larger main sensor than the iphone 12 pro which is designed to deliver an 87 improvement in low light conditions versus the iphone 11 pro max the main lens on the iphone 12 pro max also features a fast 1.6 aperture and a lighter sensor for the faster autofocus you also get a 2.5 x optical zoom from the iphone 12 pro max's 12 megapixel telephoto lens which is behind the note 20 ultra 5x zoom but is better than the 2x zoom on the iphone 12 pro the camera does a superb job in low light the iphone 12 pro max camera's smart hdr3 capability also did an amazing job the iphone 12 and pixel 5 were more evenly matched in portrait but the iphone does a better job rendering face especially in the shadow you can take great selfies with the 12 megapixel front facing camera however the rear facing cameras deliver a much fancier performance and are especially impressive in mixed lighting conditions with natural skin tones and good ability to bring out low light detail the result is simple if you want to take the best pictures with an iphone you can't look anywhere else but the iphone 12 pro max you can record 4k video at 60fps and the video quality is mind-blowing when it comes to sheer performance the a14 bionic processor in the iphone 12 pro max paired with 6gb of ram has no equal the gameplay remained as fluid and smooth as console this phone supports every flavor of 5g including sub 6 gigahertz and mmof one of the biggest reason to buy the iphone 12 pro max is the extra endurance you get from its larger battery it comes with 3687 milliampere battery with 20 watt fast charge support.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
The xiaomi mi 10 ultra is a big smartphone in every dimension in fact it's not far off from the samsung's recently released galaxy note 20 ultra the meteon ultra is heavy and can be cumbersome if you don't have big hands and deep pockets xiaomi went with a glass sandwich design with aluminum rails and carved glass on both sides on the front there's a full size display with a punch hole in the top left and a speaker grille above the glass the mitten ultra is not ip certified which is unfortunate other phones at this price point particularly those from apple and samsung offer protection from water and dust xiaomi opted for a 6.67 inch full h plus 120 hertz oled panel instead of a quad hd plus screen at this price i don't think this is a problem given there are many amazing tech that's packed into the device the panel is smooth and fast as well as vibrant with deep contrast if you don't like the excellent adaptive color setting you can change it in the comprehensive display settings menu brightness was quite good even under direct sunlight the mitten ultra was easily viewable the xiaomi mutant ultra skips the fresh snapdragon 865 plus in favor of the regular 865. Either way the xiaomi meter ultra is very fast i didn't have a single performance problem in my week with this device i played lots of games took many photos and did a lot of multitasking i just couldn't get the meet and ultra to stutter i think it's fair to say that whatever you do on your phone will be light work for this device it comes with 8 12 or 16 gb of ram depending on the variation camera wise the mid and ultra comes with the quad camera setup there's the main 48 megapixel main camera a 20 megapixel ultra wide camera a 12 megapixel portrait camera and finally a 120x ultra zoom camer the xiaomi mi 10 ultra takes punchy and contrast heavy images with a fair amount of dynamic range this device seems to be able to capture white balance well on dull days the phone took dull photos on bright days the phone took bright photos the midtone ultra's biggest photography feature is its zoom functionality samsung offered 100x zoom in the s20 ultra but the xiaomi is offering 120x in the midian ultrai found the ultras night mode to be one of the worst i have ever encountered on a flagship smartphone it struggled with flares captured very little detail and was overall rather disappointing on the front there is a single 20 megapixel camera for selfie duties the meteon ultra takes some decent selfies but there is a fair amount of skin smoothing going on selfie portrait mode photos seem to look rather realistic the mid 10 ultra video is average at best it's got 8k video at 24 fps alongside the standard usd 60fps mode there's also a 960 fps slow motion mode on the surface the meteon ultra's battery is an average size for this class of smartphone it's a 4500 milliamp cell in a device with five cameras a power hungry chipset and a big high refrigerated display xiaomi software however works aggressively in the background killing applications and optimizing power users to deliver good battery life the device charged from zero to one hundred percent in just 21 minutes in our testing it includes 120 watt fast charging it also comes with 50 watt wireless charging and 10 watt reverse wireless charging.
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus
The Huawei p40 pro plus feels excellent in hand the pro plus feature a quad curve overflow display which means they have curved glass at all four edges this device looks genuinely unique and recognizable in a sea of smartphones packing the same design from the front available in high gloss black or white a key differentiator between the p40 pro and p40 pro plus is the material used around the back display itself is a 6.58-inch OLED panel with vivid colors deep blacks and customizable color temperature and display options viewing angles and outdoor viewability is great you can expect identical performance across the p40 pro and p40 pro plus given the fact both packed in 990 chipsets with 8GB of ram we found the Huawei p40 pro plus to be just as speedy as other top-end phones such as the galaxy s20 or iPhone 11. the p40 pro plus packs a powerful rear camera setup equipped with five lenses the main lens here is a 50 megapixel sensor and a 40 megapixel ultrawide lens the pro plus sports two telephoto snappers both packing 8 megapixel resolution the first telephoto camera features a 3x zoom and the second feature is a 10x optical zoom both of these lenses feature optical image stabilization and there's a timer flight 3d depth sensing camera in the mix too through a combination of hardware and software huawei says the phone is able to achieve 100x zoom as for the video recording capabilities of the pro plus it comes with 4k video recording at 60 fps the front camera is among the best we have ever tested with 32 megapixel of resolution and a secondary depth sensor for maximum impact selfies this phone captures stunning details combined with dynamic range and excellent low light performance to handle virtually any environment you should the huawei p40 pro plus has a 4200mah battery inside and its performance is fantastic it can easily last a full day through intensive use it also supports 40 watt fast charging and there's also 40 watt wireless charging too.
The Sony Xperia 1
The sony xperia 1 mark ii comes with a 6.5 inch display that has a 4k resolution it's a hdr oled panel however the company has included a new feature that will allow for a 90 hertz effect on the screen but it doesn't seem to use an actual 90 hertz panel sony's latest flagship phone features a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack on the top edge the design is glass on the front and back both of which are protected by corning gorilla class 6 technology and it will come in either black or purple it also has a full bezel at the top rather than a notch or console inside the sony xperia 1 mark ii there's a qualcomm snapdragon 865 chipset which is one of the very best processors on the market it offers some strong performance and be able to cope with all the tasks that most other top end phones can do the phone comes with 8gb of ram to keep it running storage wise you have got 256gb of space to play with here and that's expandable with a micro sd card 5g is one of the big talking points of xperia 1 mark ii there's no 4g only variant of this phone the camera is another radius on its put and spotlight on the camera includes a 12 megapixel main sensor a 12 megapixel telephoto one with 3x optical zoom and a 12 megapixel ultrawide sensor alongside a 3d time of flight sensor that will offer groundbreaking autofocus technology it's using a technology that sony developed for its alpha range of cameras and the aim here is to give you the best shot through stronger autofocus this technology can completely auto focus and auto exposure calculations at 60 frames per second while the camera itself can take 20 shots in burst mode each second but sonic claims it improves autofocus for low light conditions as well as in everyday shooting the phone can also record video in 4k hdr at up to 60 fps pictures are amazing with this camera with stunning dynamic range and color accuracy on the front of the phone there's an 8 megapixel selfie camera and sony announced they have made significant improvements for front facing shots sony has also made some big improvements to the battery on this device by increasing it to 4 000 milliampere on the sony xperia 1 mark ii up from 3330 milliampere on the xperia 1.There's also fast charging here that will allow for up to 50 charge in 30 minutes

Huawei P50 Pro

Huawei P50 Pro

We have the Huawei p50 pro in the gold and black finish and it brings a modern look with this curved glossy glass back which tapers into the metal frame probably the most interesting design element here is the camera bump which is divided into two circular modules at less than 200 grams the phone isn't too heavy and is all ip68 rated against water and dust. The screen of the p50 pro is a curved 6.6-inch OLED with a 2700 by 1228 resolution that comes out to 450 PPI and there's a fast 120hz refresh rate the high refresh rate means that swiping and scrolling here looks quite fluid and since there's a fast 300hz touch sampling rate the screen is quite responsive too overall this display looks really nice and the media experience is rounded out by a pair of stereo speakers with hist and sound. One of the main things to consider about the p50 pro is that it doesn't support google services the global version runs huawei's emui 12 interface one of the new features you'll find on emui 12 is a control panel which you access by swiping from the right corner it gives you music and bluetooth controls and connectivity settings to other devices and while you can't get google play here huawei's app store is still adequate you can sideload apps as well though without proper support those might not run correctly at the heart of the global version of the p50 pro is a snapdragon 888 4g chipset which should provide a level of performance similar to last year's flagships there is no support for 5g connectivity though if you're looking for that but there is support for 66 watt huawei supercharging and unlike recent trends you get the charger in the box here it should be pretty fast to top up the 4 360 milliamp hour battery you also get fast 50 watt wireless charging here too finally we have the p50 pro's cameras besides the 50 megapixel main cam the monochrome camera is back at 40 megapixels then there's a 13 megapixel ultra wide and a 64 megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5 times optical zoom this looks like a very versatile camera setup especially when you consider the telephoto cams capability for higher hybrid zoom levels and we can't wait to test it out so there you have it guys the p50 pro was a nice looking flagship that as you'd expect from huawei brings a powerful set of cameras it's tough to release a phone globally without google services though and it's also rare to see a flagship without 5g support let us know what you guys think about the p50 pro and i'll see you soon.

VIVO X 70PRO

VIVO X 70 PRO

The vivo x70 pro is a phone that's been out for a few months already but could be a good deal for someone looking for a camera centric mid-ranger the back seems like frosted glass but is actually made of a substance called fluoride the glass camera bump is on the bigger side and sticks out of it but it's nothing so over the top like the plus model which had a sort of mirror next to it overall the x70 pro feels quite premium and at the same time lightweight and easy to wield you don't get any ingress protection here though unlike the pro plus which is ip68 rated the display here is a bit different too it's a curved 6.56 inch amoled with a 1080p resolution and a fast 120hz refresh rate this is opposed to the 6.78 inch ltpo amoled on the x70 pro plus which has a qhd resolution and 10 bit color still this display is more than adequate the fast refresh rate smooths out your swiping and scrolling and you also get a responsive 240hz touch sampling rate there's also hdr10 plus support and content looks great here color accuracy can be excellent depending on your color profile and settings and max brightness is impressive too we measured a max of 460 nits with a manual slider and a boost up to around a thousand in auto mode and bright conditions the vivo x70 pro does fall behind competitors and even the pro plus model when it comes to audio instead of stereo speakers there's just a single one it earned a score of good on our loudness chart but the bass and mids were lacking another difference we'll touch upon is the chipset rather than a snapdragon 888 like the flagship model the x70 pro has a mediatek demand c1200 it provides high level performance but it's not quite flagship grade still while in benchmarks the x70 pro does struggle to keep up with the flagships in real world use it's snappy enough it does seem to be quite power efficient too the x70 pro has a 4 450 milliamp hour battery and it was able to score an excellent endurance rating of 123 hours much more than the plus model the charging speed is respectable too with the bundled 44 watt adapter we were able to charge from zero to 64 in half an hour the interface here at least on the international version of the phone is vivo's fun touch os 12 based on android 11. it's highly customizable with options to change the home screen the lock screen and even animations to your liking there's also an always on display which again is very customizable and there's an ultra game mode which provides do not disturb options and others as well such as allowing a game to run in the background even with the screen off while you don't have a card slot for expandable storage you can opt for 128 256 or even 512 gigs on board and waking up and unlocking the phone is done with an under display fingerprint reader which is fast and reliable you could argue that the most impressive feature of the x70 pro is its extensive camera setup for a mid-ranger it features a gimbal stabilized 50 megapixel main cam and two telephotos a 12 megapixel one with two times zoom and an 8 megapixel five times periscope zoom finally you get a 12 megapixel ultra wide cam 12.5 megapixel photos from the main camera look good they have balance sharpening with a natural rendition of foliage and the colors are punchy but not over the top dynamic range is wide enough and the resolve detail is impressive our main nitpick is that the photos are a bit softer than some competitors two-time zoomed photos are excellent with a lot of detail wide dynamic range and punchy colors and they're sharp too if there's plenty of light the five times periscope zoom matches the great detail and sharpness of the other telephoto cam and dynamic range is pretty good in less ideal situations though the photos come out considerably softer and noisier but they're still decent shots from the ultra wide cam have processing that doesn't really match the other three cameras colors are less vibrant and the dynamic range is narrower still there's plenty of detail and the distortion correction does a great job and since the ultrawide has autofocus you can take close-up macro shots with it these are detailed and sharp way better than what you get out of the dedicated macro cams on competing phones in low light photos from the main cam are really good they aren't the sharpest around but have impressive dynamic range and contrast natural looking colors well-contained noise and plenty of detail the dedicated night mode is really fast to process each shot but its effects are pretty subtle sharpness is improved in darker parts of the image and the shadows are brightened a bit low light shots from the two times telephoto cam are pretty good the processing is in line with the main cams with accurate colors nice contrast plenty of detail and well-developed shadows night mode doesn't seem to make much of a difference on this camera in fact these photos might even be less sharp the five-time zoom camera struggles after dark taking photos that are muddy noisy and soft night mode does improve the contrast and sharpness a little but it's not enough to make a good photo the ultra wide cam holds up pretty well at night while dynamic range is narrower and colors are less punchy than the main cams you still get an okay level of detail and surprisingly good sharpness turning on night mode doesn't provide much benefit if any and these photos are noticeably softer for some reason selfies come from the 32 megapixel front facing cam and these are a bit disappointing while there's a good amount of detail wide dynamic range and accurate colors the photos are soft and a bit noisy videos can be recorded with the main cam and up to 4k resolution at 60fps 4k video quality is disappointing while the fine detail is there the video is soft overall the exposure is a bit too bright and there's poor contrast too but thanks to the gimbal the 4k videos are nicely stabilized with smooth enough walking and pans there is an ultra steady mode that adds electronic stabilization to the mix but is capped at 1080p resolution and the results aren't that much smoother the other cameras don't support 4k recording at all they can only shoot in 1080p generally the results aren't impressive but they are usabls so that's the vivo x70 pro it has a premium and rather compact design a nice curved amoled screen and excellent battery life and of course there's very versatile set of cameras that take great still photos however compared to the pro plus or even some cheaper alternatives there are some shortcomings here you don't get waterproofing stereo speakers or a flagship chipset and the quality of video recording leaves more to be desired but still it's pretty hard to find a mid-ranger at this price with such diversity when it comes to steel photography and if that's what you're after the x70 pro is worth looking into thanks for watching guys stay safe and see you on the next one you
