The combination of miui 13 and android 11 is one that you'll find on quite a few phones right now including the popular redmi note 11 series it's an interface that balances google's functions and layout with a custom xiaomi look and feel the home screen is populated with shortcuts folders and widgets and the leftmost pane if enabled is google' discover it's all very similar to the previous version miui 12. for example both miui 12 and 13 offer an independent notification center and control center accessed by swiping down from the top corners of the phone newer iterations of miui may have some visual upgrades here but for now the control center looks just like before you can also disable the control center and the notification shade will revert to its normal android looks and operation you can either keep all of your apps on the home screen or enable an app drawer which can automatically organize your apps into categories the task switcher shows all of your recent apps in two columns tap and hold on any card for shortcuts for things like split screen or just swipe left and right to close the appsthere is a floating windows button too you can put a compatible app in a floating state but you can have only one floating window at a time the smart sidebar is an expandable menu on the edge of the screen that stores shortcuts apps launched from here will automatically be in a pop-up window many of the functions of the phone are provided by google's app suite but you get proprietary xiaomi apps for multimedia like the gallery the music app and me video and there's a security app and a xiaomi file manager as well xiaomi devices that feature an it blaster have a smart remote app through which you can control various appliances notification effect is pretty neat it will light up the edges of the display with color to alert you when you receive a new notification and through the theme store you can customize the look of your home screen with new themes and wallpapers and even get new ringtones those features were all found within the previous miui 12 as well but miui 13 has a better screenshot editor with an interface that includes brushes erasers text and selection tools the biggest changes since mu y12 though according to xiaomi are under the hood xiaomi says that miui 13 brings refinements which make it more power and resource efficient resulting in a more fluid experience xiaomi also claims better storage management and defragmentation this will help preserve the responsiveness of the devices over their lifetime so overall miui 13 over android 11 is apretty smooth experience and it's very familiar if you're used to the previous miui but it also brings a couple of tweak features and optimizations behind the scenes too things might get shaken up a bit more

Realme 9 Pro Plus Review

Realme 9 Pro.

If you're looking for a subtle device the sunrise blue version of this phone is not what you should get the loud paint job changes from a more oil slick blue to a sunset red when exposed to UV light the real me 9 pro plus also comes in aurora green and midnight black, either way, it's gorgeous even if it does tend to collect a few too many fingerprints also the nine pros plus can stand on its own thanks to its flat bottom so I guess you could say that it really stands out from the crowd the back itself is made of glass while the frame is made of plastic sadly there is no splash protection here and only the front is protected by gorilla glass 5. Unfortunately,,, the camera module juts out a little too much and the phone wobble when on a table in the hand it's comfortable with a solid feeling grip and it's not too heavy at 182 grams there's an easy to reach optical fingerprint reader on the front which is fast and responsive it can double as a heart rate measurement tool if you're using real me's experimental software feature the 9 pros plus has a 6.4-inch super amoled panel with a full hd resolution and up to a 90hz refresh rate it's the same panel as on the realme 8 pro but with a higher refresh rate as far as the high refresh rate goes if you choose either the 90-hertz option or the auto refresh rate mode you will get 90 hertz most of the time unless the image is static or you're watching a video the panel got a good maximum brightness of 613 nits when in auto mode as far as color accuracy is concerned vivid mode deviates towards blue standard mode is a little reddish but the cinematic mode has very good accuracy the realme 9 pro plus supports hdr10 and has widevine l1 drm support so you'll have hd streaming across most platforms the phone has our favorite legacy port the 3.5-millimeter jack and two speakers a bottom firing one and a second one which doubles as an earpiece the speakers are balanced which makes watching videos very pleasant they got very good loudness on our tests and overall the sound quality was likable mid-tones and voices sound excellent while high notes are all right the 4 500 milliamp hour battery got the  real me 9 pro plus a very good 117 hour rating on our endurance tests the 60 watt super dart charger was just as impressive and got the phone from zero to 77 in 30 minutes and a full charge in 49 minutes though this is a great result it is interesting to note that the same charger filled up the real me 7 pro and the real me 8 pros faster the 9 pro plus has the mediatek demensity 920 5g chipset with either 6 or 8 gigs of ram the phone is competitive across the board and does great for its segment even better after long stress tests it had excellent marks and barely got warm so if you're interested in gaming this phone is a good option the realme 9 pro plus is one of the first devices to run android 12 with real me ui 3.0 this version of realme's ui offers a more fluid interface and even richer customization options than before some of these new customizations include new always-on displays like a portrait photo turned into a sketch by the software also edge lighting the sidebar new live wallpapers new icon packs and you can even choose different accent colors for the entire UI as a whole you can either proceed to take advantage of all the tools and settings and tweak the phone to your particular liking or just enjoy a hassle-free android experience the 9 pro plus sports a standard triple camera setup there's a 50 megapixel main camera with ois an 8 megapixel ultrawide and a 2 megapixel macro cam the main camera 04:14 takes 12.5 megapixel photos by default and we really like them there's plenty of detail accurate white balance new noise and high contrast the dynamic range is average and overall images look natural the sharpening is a bit too much when it comes to intricate details but other than that we don't have any gripes with it the phone has 2 times lossless zoom it uses 50-megapixel shots from the main camera crops the center and then applies post-processing and the results are great there's a lot more detail than what you'd find on regular upscaled photos the shots aren't perfect but they're enough for most occasions portraits are brilliant subjects are well exposed have nice skin tones and shots have plenty of detail the subject separation works well too as long as your haircut isn't too messy when shooting on a busy background the ultrawide had 8 megapixel photos that were better than your average result from a mid-range ultroid camera they had plenty of detail realistic colors and good dynamic range we did spot some noise but we prefer some noise and better details than the total smudge fest you might find when noise reduction algorithms go overboard macro shots are okay the colors are washed out contrast is alright and they have good sharpness at night regular low light photos with the main camera turned out to be excellent there's a lot of detail great exposure and commendable colors the noise reduction here is a bit harsh but it's not too much if you switch on night mode the images are fantastic the noise reduction is more gentle photos look more natural and balanced and they have better dynamic range more detail and nicer colors while evening photos with the ultrawide are usable they're not much more than that so you should really use the night mode with it on ultrawide shots have more detail more color saturation have restored details and highlights and shadows and have less noise overall the 16 megapixel selfie camera in the punch hole takes decent photos there's enough detail and colors contrast dynamic range and noise are respectable the subject was always exposed nicely too the realme 9 pro plus can shoot videos with both the main and ultroid cameras on the back the main camera goes up to 4k at 30fps while the ultrawide is limited to full hd the 4k clips with the main camera are excellent colors are accurate dynamic range is wide sound is great and there's plenty of detail if you want to zoom in footage isn't terribly soft either and it's definitely usable 4k videos in low light are great too with plenty of detail and sharpness there's little noise plenty of color saturation and balanced exposure the ultrawide's full hd videos are more narrow than those from the main camera presumably because of electronic stabilization and distortion correction detail is low and footage is soft so even though the dynamic range and colors were all right you should stick to the main camera this gorgeous beast of a phone has everything that you might want a great amoled panel a powerful 5g capable chipset a good main camera and great battery life and charging however the pricing isn't the lowest round and we were actually expecting a lower launch price also there is no ingress protection and the ultrawide video quality could be better so while we definitely recommend this phone there are some competing handsets like realme's own The real me gt2 pro is a flagship phone with all the bells and whistles unlike the more budget-friendly devices we're used to seeing from realme the phone feels quite comfy and lightweight in the hand which is surprising considering that it has a large five thousand million power battery the back has a rough texture and curves into the frame our realme gt2 pro has a paper white finish and it's special unlike the glass variants of the phone this one is made from a bio-based polymer and it has a laser engraved grain similar to recycled paper you even get the signature of the designer naoto fukusawa here on the back on the front side of the phone is a pretty impressive amoled screen it's 6.7 inches and uses 2nd gen ltpo technology it also features a 120hz refresh rate gorilla glass victis protection and a qhd resolution this means the picture here is extra sharp and movement on screen is super smooth the panel can display over 1 a billion colors and there's hdr 10 plus support too real me also says that this screen can achieve momentarily up to a 1 000 hertz the touch sampling rate for incredible responsiveness when gaming speaking of gaming the ryomi gt2 pro has this year's top of the line android chipset the snapdragon 8 gen 1. performance should be excellent here especially since ryomi claims that his passive cooling system has a huge dissipation area on the back the gaming and multimedia experience is rounded out by a pair of dolby atmos stereo speakers,,,,,, there's no headphone jack here though the interface of the gt2 pro is realme 3.0 based on android 12. compared to previous versions this one has better privacy protection and redesigned icons the phone also features 65-watt fast charging that real me says can top up the big battery from zero to one hundred percent in around half an hour and on the back you get a flagship-grade triple camera setup which includes a 50-megapixel main cam with is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide cam with a fisheye 150-degree field of view and a 3-megapixel microscope cam with 40 times magnification for an ultra-wide-angle cam 150 degrees is especially wide and it should allow for even more versatility when shooting so there you have it guys the real me gt2 pro looks like a solid and competitive flagship you don't get a proper telephoto cam but this ultra-wide cam looks quite interesting to let us know what you guys think and I'll see you soon with our full review.

This is the oppo find x5 pro like their previous index phones opposuma's flagship is all about elegance power and camera performance in a single package but what exactly is new here I'm single for gsm arena and these are the key features of the oppo find x5 pro the find x5 is all about smooth curves the camera bump has a signature slope to it and the edges have a comfortable curvature too the design is clearly reminiscent of the find x3 pro however the similarities are deceptive the new model has a back made of ceramic material there's also gorilla glass victus on the front at 218 grams the find x5 pro is heavier too like last year there's still ip68 protection the display is quite similar to a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a wqhd resolution and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness what's new here is that the adaptive refresh rate can go as low as one hertz instead of five and you get a peak instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 1 000 hertz instead of 240. The x5 pro has a 5 000 milliamp-hour battery which is a bump up from the 4,500 milliamp-hour one on the x3 pro and oppo has a new battery health engine in place to prolong the battery life the phone also has faster charging now with a supplied 80-watt super luke flash charger you should get 50 in 12 minutes there's also 50-watt air VOC wireless charging which gets you from zero to 100 in 47 minutes the find x5 pro uses the latest android flagship chipset the snapdragon 8 gen 1. It should be 25 more power-efficient but offer 30 more performance a new extra-large vapor chamber integrated into the back makes sure that longer gaming sessions shouldn't dampen his performance the phone comes with color os 12 on top of Android 12. it has all of android's latest features and data protection along with more unique opal offerings one of these is multi-screen connect which allows you to wirelessly use your phone via your computer screen the find x5 pro has almost the same camera setup as last year but this year we're missing the microscope camera the setup now consists of a 50 megapixel main camera a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 13 megapixel telecam with two times optical zoom all specs that we saw last year so what's the difference first off the main camera now combines the lens based stabilization with sensor shift based stabilization and the phone will put it to use for both photos and videos the front lens element is now made of glass too and should improve color accuracy but that's not all the new model also sports a custom six nanometer mirror silicon x chip imaging npu that provides super efficient ai computing for allegedly much cleaner photos and videos especially with 4k night video recording this year oppo has also continued the partnership that oneplus had with hasselblad the finex5 pro features hasselblad natural color calibration in pro mode where the ui and the shutter sound mimic that of the camera maker series on the front the 32 megapixel selfie camera has a new rgbw sensor that allegedly improves light capture by 60 so shots should look good even in lower lighting conditions the find x5 pro seems incredibly promising with its great looks and build quality the fantastic screen the powerful performance the speedy charging and the updated camera setup however even though it has improved a bunch of things across the board compared to the find x3 pro it remains the same general formula camera and screen experience remain mostly the same you still don't get a zoom camera with longer reach and the improved cooling and battery capacity might be offset by the new power hungry processor it seems we're going to have to dig deeper into the details to find out how the find x5 pro stands out from the find x3 pro hopefully all the new features live up to our expectations stay tuned for our full review.

Realme 8 it got a whopping 127 hour rating on our battery tests and the 30 watt charger that came in the box was able to charge  56 in half an hour that's among the longest endurance times  that you'll see on this list and very respectable charging other than that it has a sharp 6.4 inch amoled solid performance for a phone in its class and good 4k videos you'll find it has a headphone jack nfc and  expandable storage it sports realme ui 2.0 and it's clean  and offers a lot of customization the design is a little hit or miss and it's very prone to smudges what you won't find is stereo speakers or stabilization for the 4k videos and there are other more powerful phones that are in the same price range.

The Poco M4 Pro 5G

The poco m4 pro 5g however is both more powerful and sports 5g which the real me doesn't you'll find it for around the same price as the realme 8. with a 123 hour reading its endurance was a little less impressive but not much worse the 33 watt charger gets it from zero to 54 too which is in the same ballpark the poco is a good budget all-rounder and it offers a smooth os experience with dependable performance the 6.6 inch screen supports a 90 hertz refresh rate and even sports loud enough stereo speakers it's even splash resistant photo and video quality is good though you can't capture 4k videos here and the gpu is not very powerful but if you have a limited budget and are looking for an all-rounder with great endurance and 5g this one is tough to beat now if you can spend a little more our next few options are a little under 300 euro and here.

The poco F3 

The poco f3 it scored a 114 hour rating on our endurance test and it got from zero to 67 percent in half an hour with its 33 watt charger the poco has an excellent almost 6.7 inch amoled panel with a 120 hertz refresh rate class leading performance 5g connectivity and good stereo speakers we love its design and premium build and despite its gloss and curves we found it to have good grip basically for this price this is an extremely well balanced phone and it's tough to find a fault here it's one weakness might be it's good but not great photos and videos and the especially lackluster ultrawide camera performance if photography is more important to you.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro

 

The redmi note 10 pro it got a 118 hour rating on our battery life tests which is to say about as much as the poco f3 with its 33 watt charger though its charging time was a little less impressive and it got from zero to 50 in half an hour where it excels however is in daylight photos and videos not to mention the almost 6.7 inch amoled panel with a high refresh rate performance was dependable and it didn't overheat during our stress tests it has a beautiful design too with ip53 rated dust and water protection and gorilla glass 5 on the front and back it would have been nice for it to have a higher grade chipset than the snapdragon 732g and we didn't like that in low light camera quality was mediocre.

The Oneplus Nord 2 

The oneplus nord 2 is one such phone with 102 hours of endurance you might be wondering why is this in a list of phones with amazing endurance while it's certainly not the longest lasting phone here its charging speed is out of this world the 65 watt warp charger filled up the entire battery in just 31 minutes the nord 2 is also one of the best mid-rangers this year and qualifies as a flagship killer it has a powerful demuncity 1200 5g chipset a nice 90 hertz fluid amoled and the super snappy oxygen os launcher its cameras are pretty good too the only thing the nord 2 doesn't have is an ip rating oh and it has limited high frame rate gaming.

The Realme Gt Neo 2

The realme gt neo2 first its overall endurance is better than the nord 2 with 111 hours on our battery life tests and that's without sacrificing the crazy fast charging which is pretty much the same here the gt neo2 however also sports a flagship level 6.6 inch 120hz oled screen a snapdragon 875g one of the fastest chipsets on android and a great triple camera on the back it too doesn't have an ip rating or high refresh rate gaming but if we're hard pressed to pick between the neo 2 and the nord 2 the real me wins out unless you're really in love with oxygen os or the more compact form factor so if you're not limited by budget and want the best out there which flagships reign supreme when it comes to endurance.

The Iphone 13 Pro Max 

The iphone 13 pro max apple's best iphone ever is one of the flagships with the best battery life this year it got a 121 hour rating on  our battery life tests and the half hour charging times are okay the 13 pro max has the most powerful  chipset on the market class leading speaker quality and a robust build with ip68 protection a steel frame and ceramic shield front glass its flagship cameras take fantastic photos and some of the best videos you can capture on a smartphone if you're not a fan of apple or that annoying notch however.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

The galaxy s21 ultra is a runner-up it scored 114 hours of endurance and it fast charging gets it from zero to 54 percent in half an hour it has the best oled screen on the market with a 1440p resolution hdr 10 plus support s pen support and over 1000 nits of max brightness the quad camera setup is no slouch either and if you're in need of an absolute beast when it comes to zoom shots the s21 ultra is that phone.

The Vivo V23 5G

The Vivo V23 

This is the Vivo v23 it's one of Vivo's newest mid-rangers and like it's pro sibling it has a focus on excellent selfie camera performance and it has a slick new design it's a little cheaper a little smaller and it has a little less power than the pro version but is it a better deal i'm andrew for gsm marina and this is our review of the vivo v23 5g the vivo v23 has a flat screen and flat edges and the camera island design is the same as on the pro it looks like vivo has taken inspiration from samsung and apple and then mixed these design elements all together with the phone's signature color sunshine gold this color is thanks to the v23s uv reactive dye that changes when exposed to sunlight or other uv light it's fantastic the paint can take from 30 seconds to a couple minutes for the color to change from golden to bluish green you can choose to go with the more understated stardust black version of the phone but either way it's a great looking device as a whole the v23 is more comfortable than the pro which can slip out of your hand more easily due to its curved sides the flatter aluminum frame of the v23 offers better grip even without using the case this means that you get to enjoy the soft sandy feel of the fluorite ag glass on the back it doesn't get greasy or dirty either which is a nice plus the buttons on this phone are a little clickier and more usable than on its sibling too thanks to the metal frame it's a little heavier than the pro at 181 grams if you get the sunshine gold version on the front you'll find a notch with two selfie cameras that isn't too obtrusive it also hides a proper proximity sensor and a light sensor which are better than virtual alternatives the display is covered by shot sensation upglass which is the same as what you'd find on the vivo x70 pro it is a step down from the vivo v23 pro sensation alpha glass though which is said to rival gorilla glass victus the vanilla v23 doesn't have any formal ingress protection rating so while it might survive a fall you should keep this phone away from dust and water there is an optical under display fingerprint reader which is snappy and reliable as for the display itself it has a slightly smaller 6.4 inch amoled panel than the 6.5 inch one on the pro the regular v23 has a slightly taller 20 by 9 aspect ratio and a slightly higher pixel density with 409 ppi in person there is not much of a difference between the two panels aside from the aggressive curves on the pro i prefer flat displays but it's really up to personal taste the only other difference of note is brightness the v23 doesn't get as bright as the pro with a max of 629 nits which makes it usable outdoors but not in direct sunlight as far as color accuracy goes the v23s color is lean towards blue regardless of which color mode you use you can try to adjust for that with the included slider but it won't make a huge difference the phone supports hdr 10 plus and hlg and has the highest possible wide vine l1 drm certification for higher streaming resolutions the display handles refresh rates similarly to the one in the pro and while you have an auto refresh rate option it's not reliable so you should stick to either 90hz or the standard 60hz there is a single bottom firing speaker on the v23 and no headphone jack or fm radio support either it's a bit of a letdown for a phone at this price and the speaker itself is not overly impressive it got an average loudness score on our tests and had identical sound quality to the pro which is to say okay this is a great time to mention that in some markets the v23 supports nfc while the pro version does not the v23s 4 200 milliamp hour battery is respectable and the phone made good use of its capacity with 103 hours on our endurance tests the 44 watt flash charger the v23 comes with also worked well you can charge the phone from dead to 60 in half an hour for a full charge you need just over an hour which is quite good too the v23 has a mediatek demensity 920 hipset and 8 or 12 gigs of ram its closest snapdragon competitors are the snapdragon 860 and the 778g while they beat the phone in terms of raw performance it's a closer call in terms of overall cpu performance and the phone holds its own as an excellent mid-range performer even with torture testing the phone never got too hot and while it's a step down in comparison to the pro it's reasonable and the v23 runs very well the vivo v23 has fun touch os 12 on top of android 12 and you can see some new android 12 features here and there namely google's green notification dot which indicates when the camera or mic is in use and the more bouncy animations overall fun touch is a highly customizable os with its very own flavor if you're into stock android phones well this is not it actually many of the customizations vivo has included are quite useful system menus are tailored for single-handed use and its default selection of widgets is more intuitive than before you can choose between different themes animation effects and ambient light controls there's also quick action features where you hold the volume down key to launch an app of course you also have a dedicated ultra game mode that helps you mitigate disturbances during games and lets you turn off the screen and keep the game running in the background as far as cameras go the v23 really shines in the selfie department it's actually the same setup as on the v23 pro you get a 50 megapixel main camera with autofocus and a megapixel ultrawide and two dual tone leds that are hidden in the corners of the frame vivo is calling these leds spotlights selfies are captured at 12.5 megapixels by default and shots look fantastic detail is great as is dynamic range colors were natural and the background had pleasant bucket the wider selfie camera is respectable but less impressive in comparison its fixed focus plane is wide and forgiving and the level of detail is nice it's also wide enough to justify its inclusion next to the main front camera that said colors are duller and the dynamic range is narrower in low light there's plenty of detail and noise is practically absent night mode on the v23s front camera works better than on the pro and we would often prefer it over the spotlight's illumination the ultrawide front camera also held up well in the evenings shots are softer and noisier but they don't disappoint the spotlights near the top of the display work very well to illuminate your face and boost overall quality thanks to the better light you can even shoot selfies in your complete darkness 4k videos from the main front camera are stunning detail colors and dynamic range are all fantastic the autofocus works well and doesn't hunt either with eis off footage is decently steady but if you're willing to shoot in full hd and accept a bit of crop you can switch it on and enjoy even smoother videos videos from the ultrawide camera are less impressive in comparison their soft and dynamic range isn't stellar but they aren't that bad on the back there is a bigger difference between the v23 siblings here you'll find a 64 megapixel main camera an 8 megapixel ultrawide and a 2 megapixel macro cam during the day the main camera captures 16 megapixel bin photos while good they're not impressive colors are nice and not overly exaggerated and the dynamic range and level of detail are fine too on the other hand sharpness isn't great the sharpening algorithm doesn't help much by highlighting straight lines excessively creating shots that look both sharp and fuzzy at the same time since there's no telephoto zoom shots suffer from the same ills as the main camera all the same you can get a decent two times crop the ultra red camera is also barely decent the detail and dynamic range are not great and we notice a lot of softness and a lot of over sharpening artifacts at least the colors are a close match to those from the main camera the macro cam has decent detail for its small resolution and gets the job done but don't expect miracles in low light the main camera can take some good though overly processed photos just like during the day actually the over-processing looks more acceptable in low-light shots and the softness is comparable with the competition there is a night mode which can salvage some shots from the main unit though it's a toss-up whether you'll end up with cleaner and more natural shots or ones that have the same over-processed nature as regular low light snaps the ultrawide camera struggles in low lights and we highly recommend the night mode for it while photos are still soft there's less noise and they look better as a whole the main camera can shoot videos up to 4k at 30fps and the results are solid there's plenty of detail good colors and no noise the frame rate is steady too only the dynamic range could have been a little bit better two time zoom videos are a bit disappointing because vivo decided to over sharpen everything aggressively they're also just cropped and upscaled versions of what the main camera outputs the ultrawide can capture videos in 1080p they're soft and dynamic range isn't stellar but they aren't that bad colors are okay too there's eis on both the main and ultra wide cameras on the back but there's also a super stabilization mode on the main camera that smooths out the video further it's not perfect though and it's up to you whether it's worth the resolution downgrade the vivo v23 starts at a more sensible price point than the pro version but it doesn't have as good of a main camera and really it only has selfies going for it if you want a phone with better overall value there's plenty of competitors to choose from which have stereo speakers ingress protection and other features that this phone does not that said it does seem to have more appeal than its pro sibling and if you're looking for a good mid-ranger with great looks and good selfie prowess and you're gonna be creating a lot of social media content.
